Giving Back for Canada’s Night Skies
At Blue Moon Marketing, we believe marketing should create a meaningful impact for your business and the world. That’s why we donate 1% of all profits to the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC). The RASC is a Canadian charity dedicated to preserving dark skies through light pollution abatement, public education, and conservation. Supporting their mission ensures future generations can continue to experience the beauty of Canada’s night skies.
Why We Chose RASC
We’re a company that lives for once in a blue moon moments, rare flashes of brilliance and inspiration. Many people today can’t even see the stars, let alone a moonlit night. Light pollution erases our view, harms wildlife, wastes energy, and severs our connection to the wonder of the universe. The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada is working to change that, and we are proud to support their mission.
What They Do
Dark-Sky
Preserves
Think of these as the VIP sections of the galaxy, where lighting is carefully controlled so the public can experience near natural darkness and those jaw dropping nights of awe under the Milky Way.
Nocturnal
Preserves
These areas preserve darkness for animals and nature that needs it most. Wildlife, ecosystems, and hikers all benefit. The purpose is clear: safeguard the night and those who depend on it.
Urban Star
Parks
Big city, brighter skies but these parks are doing their part. Located in urban areas, they cut down on unnecessary lighting and still offer educational programming and community stargazing events.
